The M/Y Charm charter boat
A charter boat with charm.
A gentleman’s yacht. On board there is a magnificent sun deck (flybridge) with enough space for all guests. Our large, warm dining room comfortably seats up to 26 guests for dinner or conferences. The yacht’s well-equipped kitchen is located right next to the dining room. There are five cabins on the lower deck with showers and toilets.
The charter boat M/Y Charm’s history
The M/Y Charm was built in Taiwan in 1989 on the commission of a famous Greek ship owner. The model is called the Sea Ranger 65 and there are at least three other Sea Rangers smaller in size in Sweden today. The M/Y Charm, which is the boat’s original name, was built for private use, and was hardly ever used in or outside Athens. When the aged owner was encouraged by his daughter to buy a bigger boat, the M/Y Charm was put up for sale. She was bought in Athens in April 2000, and brought home to Stockholm. The journey took about a month. After arriving home, it took another year before the M/Y Charm was approved by the Swedish Maritime Association for the transport of passengers following a number of refits. Today, the M/Y Charm is one of the most lavishly fitted charter boats of her class. She has been approved for hire since 3 May 2001.
Fancy getting hitched on board a charter boat? We can drop anchor in a pretty bay, where you can get married on the spacious flybridge. Our priest is happy to do the honours or you can bring your own wedding officiator.
The practice of scattering a loved one’s ashes out on the water or open sea is becoming more and more popular. We can assist in applying to scatter your loved one’s ashes at the county administrative board. Food and drink can be served on board according to your wishes.
On a cold, windy January day in 2008 we went out with some friends and relatives to say goodbye to my husband and scatter his ashes out to sea. It was a very solemn, moving and memorable day for us all. We’re very grateful to have been able to spend the day on board the M/Y Charm. Many thanks to the crew for being so helpful in every way.

The yacht is fitted out in accordance with the Swedish Maritime Association’s regulations and is certified for 48 guests. The shipping company and charter boat are ISM (International Safety Management)-certified by the Swedish Maritime Association. The charter board is fitted with fire alarms and high-pressure sprinklers in all areas. The crew regularly carry out various emergency drills. The company is insured for passengers and third parties to a maximum compensation amount of USD 50 million. We are members of SWEREF-Skärgårdsredarna.
